COCONUT FIBER & PITH / PEATH

COCO fiber or more commonly known as COIR has been used for various different purposes for centuries. On one hand coconut husk is a waste product that consumes space at the farms if not dealt with and most commonly used as heat source for copra making. On the other hand a value addition can generate good value additions. Indonesia although having lots of coconut everywhere has logistic issues hence we can only use fiber grown near to shipping ports in order to make it economically viable for the export markets.

SAINDO collaborates with vendors and strategizes good and efficient manufacturing by using machines that are low cost and also utilizing the COCO PITH that is another byproduct of the fiber extraction from the husk.

Both the FIBER and PITH need drying to maintain quality and this is the heart of the process hence we work together with some local Indonesian tecnition and Indian Machine manufacturers to get fine combination of machinery for smooth and continuous production.

Fiber are mostly used for the automotive, mattress and furniture industry, where as the pith is very popularly used as a planting medium such as grow bags. some countries going anti plastic are also buying semi processed pith for absorption catalyst in DAM and irrigation building as a green alternative option
